The Music
Take a listen to some of my favorite songs and encourage someone else by sharing it with them. Songs speak when we don't know what to say.
The Story Behind
"I'll Remind You"
My longtime family friend and cowriter, Jason Henke, joined me in the room the day this song was written. Though neither of us feel like we wrote it. Jason was playing the keys and I was holding the pen, but because God's presence was so overwhelming, we've never felt we could take credit. We consider this to be a timeless piece and a treasure of a lifetime. It can speak to so many different life circumstances and our prayer has always been that it would help people's hearts heal.
The Alzheimer's Foundation of America used the song in their Educational Summit in NY, New York, for their 10 Year Anniversary Celebration, as well as a Nashville fundraiser where we had the honor of performing it live.
If this song hits home, send me a note or share with others. It's one of the greatest gifts you can give a songwriter...just pass the encouragement along.
The Story Behind
"You Have Me"
This song was written to encourage and lift up all of our children, and also as an example of what God would say to each of us during a hard season. I wrote this song with my good buddy, Jason Henke, as well. Later, the song meant even more to me as my little boy, Foster, had so many health struggles but eventually experienced a miraculous healing with his severe food allergies.

Let me know if this song speaks to you and why, or share with someone you think could use the encouragement. It means so much to songwriters when others share their music.
